As part of the 2012 CEDS Update, the GCEDD will be developing local and regional workshops to discuss various aspects of the development of regional initiatives that will support sustainable economic development, quality job growth and economic diversity. The workshops will provide insights of the planning process from the GCEDD Board, local governments and other stakeholders.  We anticipate launching this effort in 2012 in concert with the HUD Sustainable Communities planning effort, currently being led by the Houston-Galveston Area Council, GCEDD and 22 other consortia members.
